If you’ve tried to access the WIfrontdoorhousing.org website lately you might be thinking the website is down or no longer available. Those who are looking for a Wisconsin house for rent use wifrontdoorhousing.org to find houses for rent that are available using Section 8 vouchers. The good news is that the website is still available, it just has a new web address. Instead of using www.wifrontdoorhousing.org try using the new url www.wifrontdoor.org to visit the new website of the Wisconsin Front Door organization. If you need to reach Wisconsin Front Door by phone you can call their phone number 608-266-5363 to speak with someone at the organization. The new website still has a housing link pointing to the website that appears to be down but you can check with wifrontdoor.org to see if there are any new links, news or updates related to housing issues in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin Unemployment Benefits Maxed At 73 Weeks Extension Ended

The 3 month average fell to 7% so Wisconsin no longer qualifies for extended unemployment benefits.
As of 4/7/2012 the state of Wisconsin will no longer qualify for the additional 13 weeks of unemployment that states can receive if their unemployment rate is high enough. This means that those who have not yet found new employment and are receiving unemployment benefits are not going to be able to extend benefits beyond the maximum amount of time. The cause of this change is the improving economy. Unemployment benefits go into an extended benefits program also known as EB when the Wisconsin state unemployment rate reaches a level that triggers the extension of benefits. However when the economy improves and a states unemployment rate no longer reaches the proscribed levels the state no longer can provide the extended benefits. For a more detailed explanation regarding the ending of benefits check out the Wisconsin unemployment benefits website at http://dwd.wisconsin.gov/uiben/extensions_news.htm

Can I work part time while receiving Wisconsin Unemployment benefits?

One of the questions that folks receiving Wisconsin unemployment benefits ask is can I receive unemployment benefits while working part time in the state of Wisconsin. The good news is that by working part time you do not lose your unemployment benefits, however a partial wage formula is used compute benefits every week so that you can receive partial payments based on the level of income that you receive with your part-time work. The amount that you are paid for part-time work is subtracted from your benefit however this also going to make your remaining entitlement larger. You must report any wages received while working even if you’ve not been paid for them.   Every single week you are working you must report your wages on your weekly claim for the week. If you do not report working in a week you can be penalized which can affect your unemployment benefits.
